I have a feeling that I'll try them and find out there not for me!

And also $16 is what it takes to fill the tank down here, save some money for both him and I.

But I would like to try them just for kicks.

How hard is the install of new bars?? Is drilling required for mounting of the clutch /brake reservoir etc.?

Im interested in some new bars and might have to check these out. Do you think there's plenty of clearance for a 1G bandit 1200S.

It is all very simple. No drilling is required as it all stays put with clamps.

You do need to drill 2 holes in the handlebars where the controls mount on each side. they have pegs on them that go in the opening to hold them in place.

I marked the peg location by putting some magic marker on the peg itself than positioning it where I wanted them on the handlebar. The ink left a small mark on the handlebar.

Then I used a nail punch to start the hole (so the drill wouldn't slip off and scratch the chrome) and then drilled the holes in the bars.

One thing to know... you should drill a hole a lot smaller than the one that is on the stock handlebars.

Drilling is news to me. I swapped my stock bars for a set of Renthals and there was no drilling involved.

If you don't want to drill, you can break the little nubbins off the controls, then you can position them wherever you want.

Did you cut the mounting pegs off of the switch gear and master cylinder mounts or did you drill the handlebars? I wanted to go with drag bars on my '97 1200.

I did break one of the plastic screw on one of the plastic housing of the controls.
I never replaced it.
Once in awhile the whole throttle handle rotate too much when I gun it hard. But that's like once in a blue moon. So I never really bothered to take the whole thing apart and redrill the screw piece off.
Why did suzuki used a plastic screw anyway? Is it because some people don't wanna drill a hole on a new handle bar?

I do have a 98 s bandit. U guys were saying the clearance might not be enough? Do I need to get risers in order to get drag bars? I do feel my wrist hurt when I go for a long ride along with my butt on my newly reapholstered seat a bought from ebay. Man how do I get to get foam to soften up? It's still stiff. Hehe

Anyways, back to the drag bars. How did u get the white plastic throttle handle to stay in place? Do u have to glue it? I've never replaced a bar before.

Ok,ok, I know this thing is getting long and boring. But at 9$ plus shipping is really tempting. I wanna change my bar.
