Hello All,
I just installed the Suzuki DB style Fairing (The factory Authorized Fairing). I am impressed with the quality. It is tinted, 2" taller than stock, and has a cool bandit logo in the front:
Here are some picts.

:bigok: Looks nice. It's not as dark as I thought it was from the pics on the Suzi site.
-
I'm convinced that's the Givi screen, being resold by Suzuki. I'm installing my Givi today, and I'll try and post some pics from the same angles.
-
Bobcat, you're probably right. Remember the fly screen they sold for the naked Bandits? It was a Givi.
-
I heard someone say that since Suzuki uses the terminology "double bubble" with that screen... it's probably actually made by Zero Gravity, who has their own "double bubble" screen for the Bandit.
Does look to me like the Givi, though.
-
I take that back. The suzuki screen has more of a pronounced DB shape to it:

Nice job with the pic comparison, Bobcat.
I've been frettin' over which of the two to get for awhile now... from your pics I think I'll go with the Suzuki... since I'm 6'2" with a long torso.
The Zook shield looks like it deflects the wind just a little higher than the Givi.
-
I think that's probably a good move. I'm 6'3", and I'm wondering now whether I should've gone with the Zuk screen. It does look like it would proably deflect a little better.
Oh well, anything is better than the stocker.
Edit: I rode to work this morning--what a difference. No more buffeting, and much quieter than the stock screen.

Kind of off topic, but Bobcat, how do you like that Ventura luggage? When I bought my bike, the guy threw the set in, but I've only used it a time or two.
I do a lot of 2 up riding, and was wondering if it holds up as a back rest at all?

I love it. In fact, it hasn't come off the bike since I bought it two months ago. I needed luggage I could run with the high pipe, and I wanted something that wouldn't touch the paintwork. I don't care for the looks of the Givi top box, so that left Ventura.
Ventura specifically states that it's not to be used as a backrest (in fact, they even put a sticker on the rack). It's pretty sturdy on the Bandit because of the solid mounting points, but I don't know that I'd trust it as a backrest.

Well if the Givi keeps the wind off of you at 6'3"... maybe I'll go for that. I like the looks of it a little better.
Mind if I ask what the Givi cost? The Zook shield is $67 @ Ron Ayers.

I still get some wind blast, but it's moved from my chest to the tops of my shoulders. The big difference for me is the lack of buffeting.
I paid $85 at RL Motorcycles.

got the suzuki DB because i thought it looked better and seemed a little thicker than the ZG
think it also cost less and i am very happy with the results in both looks and protection

I realy like the Suzuki DB on my B-12. Much less turbolance than the stocker and I'm 6'3". Kinda funny tho that's all so the draw back. Sitting in the pocket of calm air it's easy to have my speed creep up. I was commuting to work in the slow lane on a interstate with no traffic around and got lazer zaped for 71 in a 55. Cost me $141.00. I thought I was still in the 60 to 65 range of speed. There was no noticeable difference in wind noise. I pay closer attention to the speedo now. :boohoo:
