Title: Swing Arm
Post by: Ar-Bandit on February 27, 2006, 12:06:42 PM
I was wondering how many of you guys have stretched your bikes.  I am looking for a new swing arm or to get mine worked on but I don't really have any direction to start the process with.  Are there any other bikes that there arms will fit the 02 bandit 600.  So any help would be a great help.

Matt

A B12 arm will bolt in and there are kits to extend them, also several of the swingarm builders have extended B12 arms that will work on a B6.

Since the B6 arm is steel, it should be easy for any competent welding shop to splice and extend your stock arm. This is probably the cheapest route.

I don't know if it's any longer (I kinda doubt it), it's just there are folks out there that stretch the B12 arms.

Not that it should be difficult to stretch a steel B6 arm...

I did some research and found out that the B12 arm is like .2 or .3 inches shorter then the B6 arm is.  But I also found out that the older model GSXR 1100 arms bolt in.  So i have purchased a 6 to 8 adjustable stretch for the B6.  Thanks for the help man.
