Zen, can you change the hi-beam without taking the instrument panel off, in case the hi-beam goes out, but not the lo-beam?

Yep... the high-beam can be found and unplugged just by reaching up under the fairing and feeling for it. I changed my hi-beam without taking anything else apart. See the arrow pointing up under the fairing in the last pic in the headlight FAQ.

Thanks for pointing that out. I edited it to include the info due to you and others asking about it... sorry I wasn't clearer in the first place!  :duh:

Thanks Zenman.  I was just wondering.  I don't need to do it now, but may change out the bulbs for higher wattage later...they seem okay now as I do not ride much at night.

Want a chore?  Try changing bulbs on a Gold Wing... :duh:

Zenman-

If I had seen your pics before buying my Givi, I might have tried the MRA.  The Givi is taller, and takes away almost all the windblast without buffeting.  The adjustability feature of the MRA seems like a great idea.  It looks a lot better on your bike than it did on the twisted throttle web site....

I might have tried the Givi had it been listed at the time I ordered the MRA. But now I'm happy with it, I like the adjustabiliy and it does look good.

Still curious about the Givi though, and I'm sure others would like to hear your impressions on it... did you get it installed yet?

I have had the Givi for a few hundred miles.  In short:

It moves the windblast from mid chest to mid helmet, making highway travel much more comfortable.  There is no buffeting, but wind noise is increased.  For riding in really warm weather, it could provide too much coverage.  It looks great on the bike.

:congrats: on getting it installed.... got any pics?

So you say the noise increased for you? Mine got quieter. I wonder if you put the lip on there it would help? Both Givi and MRA have add-on spoilers, or there's the one Blue Racer got, he says his works good...

FWIW - windscreens react different for different folks due to variables like body height, posture, type of helmet worn, etc.

Yippee!!! (and I mean that....)

My new Givi D262S Windshield is installed. Going by the write up on this site - Bandit Alley Windshield How To, it all went perfectly.

If I could figure out how to get images on this post, I would. Until then, click on this Two Wheeled Texans link -

Neat, eh?

:congrats:  PhilS!

Can't wait to hear how it works for ya.

I checked your link to Two Wheeled Texans but it won't let me see your pics because I'm not a member there. Can you host your pics somewhere and link them here? Love to see your bike wth the new screen.

Thanks for putting up the link to the Bandit Alley FAQ's... we appreciate that.  :bigok:
