Thank you for all the great advise for mods b12
« on: August 05, 2012, 05:40:54 PM »
Guys,

I read a lot about good modifications to make to the b12. I listened to what you guys have to say and this is what I did so far.

1. hh Sintered brake pads. (of course I bled the breaks while I was there)
2. Renthal handle bar.
3. stage 1 kit Ivans
4. Hyabusa rear shock
5. 5 degree advancer

All I can say is Wow every mod so far made a great improvent. The hyabusa shock I think is one of the best of all!!

Thank you,

near term mods:
1 new headers Delkivic (sp)
2 SS braided lines

I think that is it. I wish I could get the nerve for USD because I could have  a busa front end at a good $. Just not ready to dive into that. A little scared off.

Thank you,

Joe

Glad you're enjoying it and the mods!

The SS lines make a GREAT improvement to braking, I was amazed.  :thumb:

I ordered them from Wesmoto in the UK. Nice guy added 1" extra for the higher bars. They should be here soon.

Thanks again,

Joe

Hey man -

Were you able to do the Renthal bars with the stock lines? Which bend did you use? I've been wanting to swap bars, but thought I needed brake lines to do it...

I did use the stock hoses but it was tight. I bought the mid rise and they are nice. I felt the brakes could be better even with the new pads. So I had the brakes lines made 1" longer. They really made a difference and gave me the extra room I needed.
