I ordered the Holeshot top end oiler kit last week, has anyone used this kit yet, I know the Holeshot is fairly new. Hope to have it on by next week end.

I was looking at the same kit on APE's site, I plan to install one when I go with aftermarket cams in the Spring. Keep us posted on your progress. Theirs lists for $265. Thanks, Ed.

There's also another setup available - I think it's Carolina Racing (or something like that). You can get it from Katana John Power Sports (http://www.banditsrus.com/katanajohn/portwork.htm) for $225.
Here's a pic of that unit on Fast Larry's B12:

The Holeshot is $219 and I liked the looks, so I ordered it last wednesday. They all accomplish the same thing of getting oil to the cams, so it is just a matter of which one you prefer

Hi
I'm running a GS1200SS 2004...so why do you put a "top end oiling kit" on a bike ?
I am thinking of running my bike in this years full points season...Drag Racing that it.
It would mean about 10 individual race weekends over the next 4-5 months.
I am doing nothing else to the bike as I will only run DYO.
Not interested in top speed or times...just consistency.
But I don't want to hurt the motor.
So should I fit a "top end oiling kit" ?
Can get one made up if you guys think it is good insurance.

I have been dragracing the oil cooled GSXRs, and now the Bandit for about 12 years, and I never ran the top end oiler. Most of the all out gsxr/Bandit drag bikes that I have seen did use them. It is probabley good insurance, but not completely necassary on a stock bike.
