Post by: alhuggy on August 25, 2006, 10:44:38 AM
I am going to fit some Progressive front springs to my 96 b12 and was wondering if I need to uprate the fork oil as well as I will be changing it anyway or just stick with standard?

I believe that progressive recommends 10Wt, besides anything is better than the stock fish oil.

I did the same mod on my 2002 and used 10w. My dealer recomended 5w.

I should have listened! The 10 w oil makes the ride a little rough.

if you have too much damping you can have problems with bumps in cornering cause the bike won't stick to the road right...
