I am looking for a comfortable seat. I have the stocker and a no name brand gel seat that came with the bike. Either one hurts after 50 or so miles and then is just aweful after 100. I am 6'2" and 300lbs so it always seems like I am riding the back of the tank. I would like a seat that sits back a little and supports alot more. Any suggestions?

I'll steer you to a custom seat.
I had Sargent rebuild my stock seat.
They use the OEM seat pan, and can do almost anything you want with it.
(Wider, softer, firmer, covering, shape, higher, lower, ride moved forward or back.)

Other than that, you can try a Corbin.
Comfort is real personal, and what somebody else loves, may suck for you.
A local upholstery shop may also be able to fix your seat, if you know what you want done.

I am about the same size and weight as you and I couldn't stand the stock seat on my 1g b6. I bought a Corbin and like it much better than the stock seat though it's not great for me. The seat is dished out which locks me in to one spot with little room to move around any when the burn starts. If you know anybody with a Corbin on a Bandit, see if they will swap seats with you for a day or two so you can try it before parting with that much cash.

Seats are like matresses, lots of different levels of what feels good. The Corbin seats are firmer than stock and will pretty much lock you into one position. If you can find someone locally that has one and will let you try it, be sure to ask if it is an off the shelf unit, or a tailored one. They'll tailor it to fit if you ask... so if you find the cushion is to your liking, but not the posiotion, you can have it made to your liking, but you'll want to know what you're sitting on so you can tell them what you want. Likewise if you decide to get one of your seats custom tailored by Sargent or someone else... and there are dozens of outfits out there that will work with you.

I have a stock seat and a corbin. I use the stocker in winter when rides are shorter as its better in the twisties. I get bad butt burn after 100 mi or so. I just put the corbin on and it is real different. I really noticed the further reach for the bars. In the twisties you really need to move around on it. For rides over 100 mi where you have lots of straight hiway, it can't be beat. I've put 400 mi + on in a day and felt great. Corbins come up on ebay frequently, get one and keep the stocker.

I can't afford the corbin at the moment, So I just located a place that still lists the oem gel seat, we'll see if they actually still have any, I ordered one. Price is $140+ shipping, www.lacyclesports.com is the place

Tried to PM you, but wouldnt go through. Did you get your gel seat yet? Does it sit lower or change the reach to the bars much from the stock seat? Ride better?
