Title: Givi in Canada
Post by: Caper#5 on January 01, 2007, 04:14:15 PM
I've noticed Givi doesn't have a web site in Canada. For those of you that have one, where did you get it? E-bay?

Thanks

Yep, eBay.  Way cheaper and like new.  Be patient and watch.  You'll be glad you did.

Thanks, I'll watch for them. But how do I know what is a cheap price? On the Givi U.S. site they say I have to be a citizen to get a price quote.

Find seller Midwest Cycle on eBay.  Ask him what he'd charge to get what you want.  Then you'll know a maximum to pay.

You should be able to beat his price easily eventually.

I bought KAPPA bags. Colour matched for the price of GIVI std black. Pretty similar otherwise. I ordered mine through a dealer, who could order Givi or Kappa. I don't think either sells direct. (in Canada).

Went to a dealer a few days ago and priced up the Shad 46L case with back rest and sw-motech rack. Just shy of $500.00. I asked them about Givi, they said they could order it but it would be more expensive. I guess I'll use that as a base price for now and keep looking.

Givi has a Canadian distributer that just sells to dealers & not the general public. I recently priced a topcase at my local Suzuki dealer and found that once you included the exchange & brokerage fees you will pay, there was not a whole lot of difference.

You could try these guys....

Looks like an old thread but i recently found WWW.GIVI.CA

I also had a local guy price out all my GSF650S stuff from Givi (windscreen, engine guards, rack, backrest pad, etc.) - also gave me everyting 20% off. So it seems there is some hope for us Canadians when it comes to givi stuff - outside of ebay.

Just thought i'd throw it out there.

Cheers!

Thanks Raphy, I actually picked of a Givi top case (V46), back rest and tail light on a recent trip to Calgary. Blackfoot motorsports actually had the case that I wanted in stock. Picked it up packed it full of clothing and souvenir's and took it home on the plane with us, free shipping!!!
