Need a BC Roadmap - can you help?
« on: July 12, 2005, 09:41:52 PM »
I've been trying to find a BC roadmap around here in WA. You know, the typical folding type. I have a road atlas with BC in it, but I'd like a bigger map, considering its a big province. I've found Alaska maps, and local Vacouver/Frasier Valley maps here, but a provincial map seems to be a rarity, which seems odd given my close proximity to the BC border.

I was just wondering if any CDN members in BC or Alberta members might be able to send me a couple. I'll glady pay you for them.

I tried dropping a line to the BC Tourism folks. They sent me several booklets of thing to do and places to see and package plans, but no roadmap. (All the US states I've ever contacted send a roadmap with their tourist packages...)

If you want a good book of the BC Roads, get a copy of Destination Highways BC. Has ALL the good roads in Southern BC. The Washington book is excellent as well. It is a lot more expensive than a BC Roadmap however.

I've got it, but I still like to have a roadmap (and another BC member hooked me up with that) for the tankbag (covers more area than the small maps in the DH books (got the WA one too). One thing I think they blew it on was not making the pages removeable from the book. You could use them in the tank bag then, but bound in the book, it makes it tought to stuff in the map pocket.
