Avast is what I've been using for a couple of years now.
Free and it's been doing a good job! :thumb:

Another indispensable tool is anti-spyware protection which can slow your PC down to a crawl. I use Ad-Aware 2007 also free if you select the poor person option at download.

I've been using Spy Bot for a few years.  Good stuff.

I'm currently using a combo of Ad-Aware 2007 and Spybot with AVG Free. Though i have been thinking of moving to Avast recently, namely because the already free service from AVG is getting worse and its also becoming more difficult to find the installer.

Am i just retarded?  The link for Avast is asking me for $11.65 a year, making it seem not so free.  Is the free one elsewhere?
