Title: Windows XP help
Post by: PeteSC on March 19, 2005, 09:03:53 AM
I replaced a crashed hard drive in my desktop, and had to reload Windows.
One thing I can't figure out, is how to restore the URL address line to Internet Explorer.  I'm not sure what the correct 'name' is, but the space where the URL is shown toward the top of the page, and you can enter the url of a site you want to go to.
Must be something simple, but I can't figure it out! :duh:

View Menu/Toolbars/Address Bar

The rest of the PC help forum is on the archive board, if you want to move it, Pete.  I just figured you didn't want it anymore, since it never really caught on...

I guess other members may want some of the archive board before I take it down, so I might as well not keep it a secret, I'm taking it down by the end of the month anyway.

I'll post the url on the main forum, with a stipulation not to post just to copy and paste any messages they want for personal reasons.  If people start posting, I'll disable it, and redirect the url back to here.

Or... right-click anywhere in any of the tool bars and click Address from the pop-up.

Thanks, Mike!   :bigok:
