Just some thoughts about heading to places where riders hang out.
It's very cool to be somewhere where everybody is interested in bikes!
Unless you're totally anti-social, you'll instantly make friends.
If you're in an an area without a lot of 'concentrated' bike activity, it's well worth a trip to a racetrack for a motorcycle event, or a motorcycle campground/resort.
Since you're riding a 'Bandit', sportbike events a little preferred, but a lot of riders head to 'cruiser' events and are accepted.
Just go out and do it!

Here, here. I couldn't agree more.
And, speaking from the land of OZ, if more of us "Motorcyclists" thought the same way and stopped the "in fighting", as witnessed at the last Ulysess AGM, we'd have a louder and stronger voice in all levels of Government. Instead we're seen as a dangerous but unimportant minority.

I agree pete, it's extremely fun being around other people interested in bikes. Up here in my neck of the woods there is the local Iron Thunder saloon which is straight across the street from Blue Ridge H-D. So on sunday evening when everyone is on their way in from riding, it turns into a HUGE crowd of bikers, it's just awesome  And about the "cruiser events" I'll roll into one and 99% of the people are cool but you'll find an arsehole in every crowd who talks shit about our "riceburners" but I don't care :beers:

The second best thing about the Dragon is hanging out at the store, looking at bikes and shootin' the $hit with other riders. :beers:

I've been going to vintage bike days @ Mid Ohio with a group of friends for a few yrs. now. It's great :beers: ,we have 4 vending sites, and do'nt really sell much. Watch the trials, roadracing, motoX,ride the bikes down to the fairgrounds for the flattrack. Meet lots of people, anytime you meet up with another Bandito, conversation starts up. Had breakfast with Craig Vetter,Matt Lawill. It's a great time
