Continental Divide
« on: January 02, 2006, 03:22:55 AM »
Me and a buddy with a 650 V-Strom are planning on riding the length of the Continental Divide between Canada and Mexico probably in late September. Now this is definately not a Bandit trip, as it will be mostly dirt, but I know there are a few other dual-sporters on this board who might be interested in doing this. Anybody else want to take a little trip? We still have a lot of planning to do and some details to work out. The biggest hurdle will be tire wear.

Sounds like a fun trip!  I would love to go, but I have other trips planned for this summer.  Incase, you havn't checked out the site below, they know all about dual sport riding.   There have been several ride reports of the route you mentioned, posted on advrider site in the past few months.   I would strongly recommend their site for additional info and possible recruitment!

Yeah, I've looked at a couple of CD postings on that site and will refer back to it for some insight. I'm not a member of Advrider though, so I'm not going to try to 'recruit' off the site. I may eventually join though. I posted on here because I've actually met and ridden with a handfull of people on this board (some of whom own dual-sports) and know that I would enjoy their company.
