Met a nice girl a couple of weeks ago, and planned to meet at her apartment for some sushi. I cleaned out my Renntec tail bag, about 95 % thank God, reason coming later. I fired up the 600 on this beautiful, clear, 75 degree summer night and headed out at about 1945 hrs. I rode about twenty minutes, picked up the sushi and headed to her apartment in Danbury. I arrived, removed the package sushi from my tail bag, and a large bottle of Evian water. Everything fit well in the Renntec tail bag, by extending the zippered pouch. Got to her place locked up the 600, closed the tail bag, brought the helmet, gloves, and jacket inside, along with a pair of shorts to change into. Had a great evening. This chick is hot! She wanted to check out my B6, so at about 0030 hrs. (1230 am) she walked me out to my bike, liked it, and I donned up for the ride home. It was cooler, traffic was extremely light, and I enjoyed a nice ride home. It was a little chillier by now, so I needed to cover my neck with a bandana, and turn my heated grips to about 1/2 for the highway part of the ride. Nice, relaxing, and fun. Being very careful not to out run my headlights, I kept the pace moderate on lighted streets, then slow on the backroads, where I did see one deer getting ready to run out. Great time, all in all, but when I arrived home, my talibag was empty. I was distracted a little and forgot to zipper it back up all the way. Lost a cargo net, disc lock, with remainder cable, a balaclava, and my luggage lock which I use to slow down possible thieves. Gone, all of it! This sucks, but could have been a lot worse, including another cable lock that I ususally carry, a First Gear rain jacket, rain gloves, etc. Word to the wise, make sure you are rippered prior to take off. I had double of almost everything I lost except for the disc lock, and balaclava. Lessoned learned the hard way. Unfortunately if you are me, there is no other way. Regrets, I have none.......like I mentioned this chick was smokin' hot.
