Title: 2002 B600 10k mi. Cold starts on 3 cylinders.
Post by: Himehabu on July 05, 2007, 08:10:01 PM
hey.

I've had the carbs cleaned and balanced,  intake cleaned and K&N filter installed,  new plugs and a tuneup all done but the bike keeps running on 3 cylinders until it gets up to temperature then it runs fine.

Gas smell when cold is obvious, but not overwhelming when starting, which would indicate a failure to detonate, but..  the plugs are brand new.

Anyone experienced this?  have any ideas where to look?   I've not isolated which cylinder isn't firing, but i'll be checking tomorrow morning..

Any assist is appreciated.

Jay

Put your hand on the down pipes and see if ones not getting hot, " BE CAREFUL " don't burn your hand. If you find one then check the plug wire for that cylinder. You can remove the wire and cut 1/4 inch off both ends then replace the wire. Just a start.
