Title: After riding the bike hard, do you let it cool down?
Post by: MasterM3 on February 08, 2006, 03:49:22 PM
I've got a B4 and after riding the bike pretty hard I parked the bike and heard a fan or something like that. Sould I just turn the bike off or let the bike cool down before hitting the cutoff?

If you can do a little mellow riding before shutting it down, that would be best. But if you're asking if you should just shut it off, or let it sit and idle static, I'd say it probably doesn't matter... both are bad choices.

I throw my bike in the lake that really cools her down!!!!!!

No it's not that nessesary to cool it down too much. But when warming the bike up don't go Jihad untill she's fully warm. Driving fairly gingerly while warming up is more important that letting it cool down. The only time you would want to cool the bike down is if you're stuck in stop and go rush hour traffic for an hour or two.
