Title: best b12 tires?
Post by: 03bandit12 on January 17, 2006, 08:58:35 PM
Hi,

My '03 B12 has the original Macadam 100's on it, and I hear that they aren't very good. I have yet to ride the bike as it's sitting in the dealership until spring (damn winter), so I haven't yet confirmed the Macadams' crappiness for myself.

My question to you all is which tire suits the Bandit best for sport touring? I do like to ride quite hard on occasion so I'll need something reasonably sticky, but I would also like to get some decent mileage from them.

I'm thinking BT020 or 014? or Pilot Roads? or MEZ6?

Any guidance from those in the know would be greatly appreciated.

I ride FAST on the street and have found the Dunlop D220's to be a good tire.  Awesome grip and the rear lasted about 6k.  Keep in mind that I do ride in a matter that uses all of the tire (no chicken strips).  The front included!  I came off of using the D208GP tire and have no issues with the grip difference once warmed up but have to say that lasting twice as long is good.

My $.02
