Title: Bike won't start
Post by: bandit ed on August 23, 2010, 07:41:36 PM
Have a 2001 600 Bandit. It was out in the rain last sat and since then if has not started. Pulled the plugs out and have NO spark. Look at the fuses and they seem to be fine. Any ideas out what I should be doing next???

 HELP

Just tried using a screw driver and found out I do have a spark. So I guess I need new plugs. Do plugs just go like that or is there more to this?????

Are you getting gas to the carbs?.... Is the gas good, clean, fresh gas?...  Plugs (especially all four) don't just go bad AFAIK.  Sounds like something else.  Water in the gas could be a problem attributable to the rain.  Just some random thoughts.

You wouldn't think so, but I had it happen just a couple of months ago on my own B12.  Surprised me!  Before that I would have agreed with you.
