I guess thats a possibility but the fuel intake hole is so small and the "hump" in the center is so large I don't think it's practical. There's got to be some sort of chemical that can take this shit out of there. I'm not a big fan of "Kreme", at least in the mechanical way. The shit causes way more problems than it solves, it looks like the tank wasn't even that rusty to begin with but instead of dealing with the rust some crazy bastard said at one point "oh yeah just jizz it over that'll fix it" which now makes it worse. My friend and I are having some luck with the vinegar eating the Kreme as the underlying rust is still there making the bond weak to the metal. Sometimes I just don't understand what goes through peoples heads. If you don't know what the phuck you're doing...stop and ask someone, there's no shame in it. In fact I would give you extra credit in my books for showing the intelligence for getting the information to do a job correctly.
PS. I better buy you 2 keyboards who knows what kind of crazy shit I have to deal with on this bike! Which is sad because it's a very decent classic bike that runs great...even with this jizm in(and maybe on) the tank. Do you guys think that phosphoric acid may do the trick? I've been shying away from it as it is extremely dangerous stuff, I've used it once and a little drop got on my forearm and turned into a nasty wound. I guess I could have a lot of baking soda around to neutralize it.
If you see the problem is not with the "Kreme" per se, as it was developed when "gas was gas" %100 gasoline mixture. The Al Gore assholes decided "Oh we need to save the lesbian whales" or whatever the phuck they were thinking about, and decided to change the gasoline mixture into as high as %10 methanol(insane!) which is basically a methane based alcohol mixture. Anyone who has done the research will realize what this will do to the rubber O-rings, diaphragms, and in addition will lean out the fuel/air mixture. Anyone whos raced alcohol based drag racers will tell you that you have to increase the jetting as alcohol, while being a very efficient fuel which gives more power, is much more caustic to the engine components. While gasoline is also very efficient(less than alcohol) as well, it's oil based so it intrinsically has slight lubrication qualities as well. My guess is that the "Kreme" formula hasn't been updated to accommodate for the shit they put in gasoline now, especially such additives as techron, which is a top end cleaner so that the "Kreme" basically gets dissolved. There was nothing wrong with the original "Kreme" formula as it worked as it was designed 30 years ago, but unfortunately the world has moved on to the new "Green fuels" which the original formula could not have forseen. That is why there are alternative products on the market that have been test in some cases up to %20 alcohol mix which work much better.
