Title: Brake Pad Question
Post by: skibum on October 13, 2008, 11:55:55 AM
I'm in the process of upgrading the front brake on my 93 B4 and I have a question.  I'm installing an EBC Pro-Lite Contour front rotor, but I have two sets of EBC pads (don't ask), one set sintered and one set kevlar.  What are the advantages/disadvantages to each type?  I particularly don't wish to burn through this ridiculously expensive front rotor in a hurry.  Any info would be appreciated.  :thanks:

Which kind of sintered EBC pads do you have?
If you have the HH's, use those.  Their wear on the rotors is in the same area as their kevlar pads and the performance of the HH is far better.
If you have their new Extreme-Pro pads, I don't know how they are on rotors.

I have the HH pads.  Those are the ones I wanted to use, but I can't afford to trash the rotor quickly, so I was unsure.  Guess the kevlar pads are going to be posted in the want ads.   :thanks:
