jack up kit

trying to fit a 55mm jack up kit
i took out the stock dog bones
put new dog bones in
bolt through top hoes
but bottom not linning up
the holes are in the middle of each other
tried moving swing arm up\down but its like there no more
movement to get in line
any ideas

Does the swingarm not go down far enough? If so, you'd have to lift the frame of the bike higer so the arm can drop down further.

thanks red01 i now have it under control
what it was i had not fully slackened back wheel off
so chain was kepping eveything tight

but now when i go to put into 1st gear she jumps forward
as if clutch is not fully engaging
have you any ideas what might of happened

cant do owt else to bike today its lousy weather again !!!

Have you adjusted the chain properly? Everything will need readjusting now. And remember you can't use the centre-stand with 55mm.

By the way, how does it look?

Sounds more like the clutch isn't fully disengaging.
Have you had the countershaft cover off? If so, it may be possible you didn't get the clutch slave lined back up right (seems like a stretch though).
Or your clutch may need to be bled, or maybe it's not holding pressure/leaking.

If it jumps a little, but doesn't go anywhere, that's pretty normal, my bike has always done that.

going to take cover off and have look
it never use to jump  :crybaby:
but now when i go to put into 1st there is resistance
and a clunk sound
its just like the the clutch isnt operating fully
