I know sw-motech makes top racks, but I cant see what you are talking about. Photo or link please. OK I see the damage but is it this style of "Alu-Rack adapter" http://www.motohaus.co.uk/acatalog/Suzuki.html (http://www.motohaus.co.uk/acatalog/Suzuki.html)
I just recommended sw-motech Alu-Rack adapter as they look clean and some people use them to mount top cases on. So maybe the heavy duty OEM top rack is better since it is supported by the lower frame as well.

I've had the Krauser racks and cases on my bike for 3 years.  They've made two cross-country trips with me, and held all manner of stuff and held up in biblical downpours.  Love 'em.

I sure don't like the looks of that !!  I'm  really needing a stout luggage rack - backrest mount ; the frame and bolt mounts need to be strong there " SUZUKI"
