Title: Cold natured?

My '99 B6 has recently started running poorly when not completely warmed up. Once it is allowed to idle for 10 minutes, it runs great, but until completely  
 warmed up it can't even rev without the choke on. I know bandits are cold natured, but is this normal? And if not, how can I fix it?

Has your temperature been dropping lately? Other weather changes?
These will have an effect on warmup.

I bet it's been dropping to the 30's overnight in Denver.   Engines are kind of like magnets to cold.   (At least it seems so...)
   I wouldn't worry about a longer warm up, as long as the bike runs fine.

Other than ambient temp, when was the last time you got new spark plugs?

it's been nice in Denver. I put in new plugs about a month and a half ago, NGK's. I've been trying to start it when it's 70 degrees out in the middle of the afternoon, and it takes just as long. And God help you if you try to ride before it's completely warm. It will rev a little, sputter and die. Any way I can get it to warm up faster?

Synthetic oil will help some as well. I noticed less time on choke after I switched to Mobil 1.

It has a jet kit. I'll try synthetic next time I change the oil, which will be soon.

I had a '96 1200 that was an absolute mongrel till it warmed up. It took about 5 minutes in the driveway and 10 minutes riding before I was able to use the throttle without it bogging down. I used synthetic oil and it made no difference to warm up times.
I now have an '03 1200 and it is a dream to start and is ready to go in less than a minute.

Im using Amsoil. I have never been hapier with this synthetic blend. I even swapped to Amsoil in my Truck as well.
