Colored chains
« on: August 25, 2009, 10:37:55 PM »
I am getting close to changing my OEM chain and sprockets. Came across these on line
http://www.moto-chains.com/site/898528/product/ek530zvx
Has anyone had any luck with these?
I like the color and a blue one would look nice on my Bandit. Just curious if anyone has tried these or others they can recommend.
Once I thought I was wrong...but I was mistaken.

i don't have experience with that size or brand, but my bf has a black 520 on is gsxr and it does really look great. I went for the traditional gold looking chain.

 I thought black was the "traditional" color.  That's the color that came on my B12, my current stable of off-road bikes and all my previous bikes, way back to my childhood '66 Suzuki 80...

My 04 came with a gold color chain and the bike was charcoal grey.  Looked good against the dark color of the bike, and I often wished for all the silver/chrome parts to be the same gold as the chain and rotors.   The chain often looked grey to black after a few miles on the road so I don't think it is worth it to put color on the chain if you plan to ride the thing...just my humble opinion

I always try to match my tyres to the colour of my bike, now I can match the chain as well :duh:

Now all you need to do is this:

and you'd be color matched. Wonder if they smoke in colors? leave colored marks on the street?

Apparantly they do smoke in colour.

Since I bought the B12, I've always matched the tyre colour to the bike................

Well looking at a picture of the tire alone I just can't picture it. Being that my bandit is black it makes it a moot point but, I'd love to see a picture of a red or blue bandit with colour matched tires to see the full effect.
