Title: crack in fender

So what would you recommend to bond about a 2" crack inthe front part of the front fender? I'm not too concerned about visual as I have a special fender "bandit "sticker to cover the "weld" (so to speak).

I had a piece of Dita's tail section plastic welded back together,... they did an awesome job.

On the otherhand, I've heard great things about this stuff: www.quarical.com  They're in Calgary, but I've seen the product in one  of the stealers here, but I can't remember which one.  the owners of the company respond personally.  He offered to send me some custom cut pieces for what I needed, but I never got around to ordering it.

In fact, If you want, I might go halfers with you, and order it from them.  I need to fix Dita's windscreen, but only need a little for it.

Note: the quarical site seems to be having trouble.

Here's another link and discussion:

I have repaired my 1/2 fairing and side body pannel using a epoxy with a mesh backing on the back side. Not sure about the name of the product,it was at the motorcycle shop where I reside and I did find and I did use. I also have a couple of stiches pulling the ripp together. I used stainless steel saftey wire, pulling it tight while the glue was wet. But I wasn't concered about the finish, I just call it cariture (sp)?   Dan

I've also used the plastic weld to make new tabs(I was never too crazy about the way the tail sections were put together on the 1st Gen.) I've cut off the push tabs from bikes in the boneyard and replaced missing ones on the Bandit and had to make a new tab that holds the back of the tail section together. Just picked it up at a Auto parts store.    Dan
