When you drop the forks in the triple clamps does it inscrease the chances of tank slappers and eratic steering problems at speeds of 90-120mph on a bandit 600? Do you think investing in a fork damper would be a good idea! If so where can I find one for a 01 Bandit 600?

Any time you drop the front or raise the rear you will increase the possibility of head shake. Several here have done one of these mods and not installed a steering damper, while others have.
Check with Dale at Holeshot and ask if his 2G B12 steering damper will fit the 2G B6.
Scotts (http://www.scottsperformance.com/indexmain.html) lists them for the B12 and the SV650, but no B6. I'm guessing one of those two would probably work on the B6, but ask them.

About a month ago I slid the tubes up 1" in the clamps on my '03 B12N. The only difference I've noticed is quicker steering/response and need for headlight adjust. I've run it up to 120 a few times with no slapping or even a hint. Lately though I've felt an 'oscillation' in fast sweeping turns...might be the Macadam starting to cup though.
If Ayers manages to ever get the 11" tubes to me, I'll be mounting the Pro-Tek clipons meaning I'll drop the clamps an additional .4-.5" Ed tells he's had no problems with slap with his S with the Pro-Tek dropped 1 1/2".
I'm seriously considering a dampener though as an added preventative. I once had a serious slapper lay me out at 110mph and it comes quick and there ain't nothing you can do about. Don't want to go there again!

1" that's alittle much isn't it I set mine at 10mm and thought about moving it 12mm and thought that might be much and that's just short 1/2 inch. I guess I'm wrong!
I couldn't find a dampner on the Scott webpage for a b12!?

Go for the inch (25mm). You're halfway there...you'll see! You could always put it back.

yeah I'll give it a try!
