Solar Chargers

Does anybody know if using one of those solar chargers to trickle charge your battery over, say, six months, is at all detrimental to the battery? I bought one called 'The Eliminator' (lol) from Crappy Tire and no one can tell me if it is self regulating or not. IE, if the battery is charged, does it stop putting a charge in?

Yeah I don't know.  The smart way to design one would be to stop it once it's charged but your best bet for an answer would be emailing a manufactorer of  one.
