Arrow up= prime so fuel comes straight out. To front = reserve, needs vacuum line attaching and engine turning to let fuel flow. To bottom = regular on, needs enough fuel in tank and vacuum line/engine turning to let fuel flow.

Prime is to fill up the carbs when you have completely drained them, i run on pointing down 99% of the time, then if i run out i change to reserve which gets me to the local fuel station.
