handlebar risers
« on: April 06, 2011, 10:18:38 PM »
I've ordered some 1" risers for my 2k B12 off ebay.  The manufacturer claims that no adjustments in the cables are necessary.  The front brake hose does not look long enough....anyone have any experience in this?

I think you'll be OK at 1" - as long as it's only 1" up, and so additional setback.  Over 1" with or without setback is probably gonna cost you a brake line mod.  You can use this as the perfect excuse to put steel braided lines on and get better braking at the same time.  I couldn't believe how much better my front brakes felt after I put the braided lines on!

My bike was used and came with 1 " risers. Assuming the cables are stock there is plenty of room, not too tight.
