Title: headlight and indicators do not light up

so my headlight and indicators do not light up when i throw it in the ON position on the ignition.  what could be the problem?  im thinking about going for a new battery.  is that a right?

Check your fuses, I've had a similar problem and it was a blown fuse.  They are in the tail section under your seat.  Also make sure you check them good.  Sometimes it can be barely blown and hard to see.

Does the bike start? If it does, that pretty much rules out the battery.

Like solman said, check your fuses. If they're OK, then it's time to start checking for solid, corrosion-free wire connections and the harness for abrasions.
