Title: Heads Up- Alternator nut on the Bandits
Post by: Blade on March 30, 2010, 02:00:22 AM
I just tore down a Bandit engine for a friend and when I pulled the alternator the gear fell off the end. Upon inspection, it lost both the nut and washer that holds the gear on, but did not loose the gear.

Though this is the first one I have seen do this, I wanted to give you all a heads up. It is number 31 and 32 in this picture (link):

OOOOff!! That would suck!! I wonder how many people have had alternators "replaced" by less reputable people than you because of this.
Which gen and size of Bandit was this?

Thanks for the warning Blade!!

It is a 01 G2, but like I said this has been the only one I have seen do this.
