Hiding the wires?? Naked conversion
« on: April 19, 2007, 11:15:15 AM »
I make my S naked a while ago, maybe a year ago. Now im wondering how to relocate / or what to do with the wires, because having them all shoved in the hole through the plastic cover, kind of hits the throttle cables.

not sure if im the only one with this problem, I hope to get a camera sometime soon so I can show ya exactly what I mean.

I took off the tank and pulled the wires under the tank and zip tied them so they wont touch the top of the hot engine, worked great. If you get some sort of heat shrink wrap cover them once zip tied up,,, even better.

sounds like a good idea, initially where did you run them too though??  as in, all the wires coming from the headlight/blinkers, and the gauges, run in between the forks then around to the black plastic cover through the hole, thats where its binding up, having accel/return cable from the throttle, and the huge wires, and a couple more all going through that one entrance.

I actually grabbed the wires from under the tank and pulled them back about 6 inches. The wires originating from the front I just pulled back. Then I turned the handlebars to max turn each way to make sure there was ample slack, then zip tied. I wish I still had the bike to take a pic for you.
