Title: Honda Question
Post by: jfudo on March 23, 2007, 01:58:17 PM
I figured this was the place to go with my honda question...

Anyway, I have an '81 CB750k, and I'm trying to buy a new chain for it.  I've never bought a chain before, and I can't figure out what size this thing takes.  How would I figure it out?  I went to the microfiche and it says it is a 50v-108le, whatever that mean.  Can anyone help me here?

Take your old chain down to the shop and have them make you up a new one with the same number of links.

According to this link (http://www.motorcycleproshop.com/acc/cross_ref/fitment.asp) the '81 CB750K uses a 108 link, #530 chain if the gearing is still the OEM 18/46.

Red,  you rule! :thanks:

No offense Zen, but that would be cheating.    :stickpoke:

No offense taken.  :beers:

I just figured since you've never bought a chain before, that would be the easiest way for you to do it.
