Title: idle adjust
Post by: FreediverGa on May 28, 2005, 02:09:59 AM
I know the idle is suppost to be set at 1250 or there abouts but is there anything wrong with having set higher like 1400 or even 1500.  I know race bikes are set like 2500 for a 600 supersport so could I set my idle 1500 for B6?

Sure - but why?
The B6 is no Supersport racer.
It's not tuned to need to idle that high.

Depending on the climate of your residence, here in sunny Singapore and sometimes rain too, I have my B6 idling at just slightly above 1000 rpm. I notice that once the engine warms up, this usuallycreeps up to about 1200+
