OK - I adjusted the idle of my 2001 1200 BANDIT .
It was set at 1000-1100.
It was a had starter and I always had to enrich it.
I turned the idle set screw a little and now it starts up and does not have to be enriched - staryts better.
Question-----
Is it ok for it to idle at 1300 ?
will I have any problems besides just more gas use .... ?????
It accelerates from ZERO better now also..

1,300 rpm is fine..... That's where I have mine for the most part. Cold days it's a little less - hot days it's a little more but I try not to constantly fiddle with it. I'd keep the idle under 1,400 though.....

1300 is the factory recommended setting, IIRC.

I was told on another bandit site that if you keep your rpm at 1400 you actually will make the engine last longer because more oil will coat the top end.

Per the OEM Sevice Manual.... idle speed is to be set at 1,200 rpm +/-100. It's all good!!! :thumb:
