I hear that everybody's pipes usually turn a goldish color. At 1400 miles, mine are still somewhat silver. Does that mean I'm running lean?
-
Heat is what causes them to turn.... Usually a lean condition will run hot, so that can't be it. They do stay in good shape for a while if you keep them in metal polish, maybe thats's it... Who knows...

It means you're going to explode!!!!!!!!!
No, actually don't worry about I have only slightly higher miles than you and they are just starting to turn slightly. Stop and go traffic will heat them up more than riding around they'll change faster if thats what you want.

Now take a ball peen hammer and dent the whole system  . If it is alien intervention it should just pop back into shape and look normal  . If it doesn't, then tell all your friends that Titleist (Golf balls) just got into the exhaust business

runway at that little airport in Roswell. I spent some time at Artesia and flew in and out of their. I guess the aliens require a lot of taxi room.

Heheh....
Iis it just that I've had a couple drinks, or is this like a teenager asking when he's gonna start growing facial hair?
