Title: Jetting stuff
Post by: Vee Dub Nut on June 01, 2005, 10:51:31 PM
Im fixing to swap a low milage katana 750 engine in my high milage Bandit 600. I am using the Bandit 600 carbs which are 36mm CV carbs, and as far as i understand, i believe the Kat carbs were also 36mm. Now i have a stock header but a Vance and Hines slip on. Planning on a 5degree ignition advance as i do the swap, stock air box and filter.

Question,

Should i take out the snorkel in the air box, and or open up the hole?

What size jets do you recommend.. Im thinking 112-115's maybe? With a couple of shims under the needles of course... How about A/F screws?

IM just trying to get a starting point for the first start up, i will be continually tuning on it for the first coulple of weeks here and there..

Any help appreciated, im just bouncing around ideas right now.. thanks!

PM Bantana.  He's been running a Kat 750 engine in 600 for about 4 years.
