I have 3000m on my 07 and have developed an oil smell when warm. Upon closer inspection I noticed fluid residue in the small cavity between trans and cylinder on throttle side, originating near top of trans directly under throttle body, and some on throttle body where it connects to rubber boot on cylinder side. has anybody experienced this? is it serious, can i ignore it for 500-1000 more miles until next service

One of two things could be the problem:
1. The clamp may have loosen up a bit and just needs to be tighten up a bit.
or
2. The clamp was over tighten and is a bit deformed.

My dealer fixed it right up, no charge. Havent had any leak or oil smell sense. Have put about 800 miles on it after fix
