Title: Oil filter

I've always had the dealer change the oil on my B12 and look the bike over. I used to do it myself on the previous Yamaha since the filter was not a screw on and behing the pipes.

Is there a lot of trouble getting the filter unscrewed, seat cleaned and rescrewed behing the @#$%^ maze of exhaust, crossover pipes?

Piece of cake! (With the proper filter tool, of course.)
Just put some rags on top of the pipes below the filter to help keep 'em clean.

fwiw if you get a k&n oilfilter you can use an end or socket wrench to get it off.M

Like Paul said...  the right tool for the right filter...

all the ones I've seen fit on a socket wrench...

Suzuki has one size, some of the other mfrs have other sizes...

FWIW, I know from personal experience the Suzuki OEM filter and the HiFlo brand filter are the same wrench....  

For example:
The Per-form filters are a different size...
Dale sells a strap type wrench for those...
