Painting headers

Has anyone had success painting there Headers on bandit? Mine just peeled in day 1 after painting. I just painted my headers with a VHT 2000' degree ceramic coat after I sanded them down & used a 2000' clear coat to finish them.
Any suggestions??

I used header paint on mine. Lasted about 1 season. I tried WalMart spray paint and it came off in a couple of weeks. I'll just do it again. Rock chips ding it up quickly.

Mahalo! I just found out I also forgot to use primer & wait 7 days to cure. Dang!
Think I'm going to pay $110 for professional to do it this time :/
