Title: Palm grips and throttle locks.
Post by: Rocketjock on September 16, 2006, 11:15:43 AM
Just in case I hit some endless highway, what are the best sources for these? I guess the palm twist grip is the safest and least noticeable of the lot, right?  Pros and cons :?:

I have used both and I like the throttle locks best.  The palm thing help, but on long trips, you still get sore after a while.  Before I go on a long trip again, I am going to purchase a throttle lock and have a source of music.

Title: throttlerocker

I use the throttlerocker as I've been too cheap to spend for the lock. It works really good for me. For long trips, as long as you position it so that your hand is in a neutral position at speed, it's great. But, you still can't take your hand off without slowing down to give your arm a rest.

Kuryakyn makes a rubber adjustable throttle palm rest that costs $13.00. I have one now and it makes a difference. If positioned right you can roll on the throttle with the palm of your hand (open handed).  I have been using it for a month now and this week I plan to upgrade to the chrome throttleboss to match the Kuryakyn handgrips.
