1996 600 # of links in chain ?
« on: August 07, 2006, 04:14:02 PM »
I'm out of town for a week and need to order a chain. I thought it was 110 links but the manufacturers cross reference at the MAW website does not list # of links for thr pre-2000 Bandit and it lists the post 2000 models a s being 112 links. Any help with this question is appreciated. I'd like to order today so that the chain and sprockets will be there when I get back to Atlanta next week.

Thanks

The EK cat. says 110 for 2000-2003...my 1200 is 110 also.  Hope this helps a little.

Edit:  I assume EK is listing for the stock sprokets.  I run 16/45 and it's still 110.

112 is what I have seen listed. I replaced my chain and sprockets a few weeks ago and used a 110 link with 16/46 gearing on my '96 b6.

Definitely 112 links in the chain.

The only thing that matters is how fast you can get from 0 to 60, because top speed is secondary
