Don't mean to be harsh but the front brake works better at stopping a motorcycle than the rear and won't fade nearly as fast.

Congrats on the purchase just the same. :congrats:

Ditto.

Since the rear should only be doing <20% of the braking, it shouldn't be fading if your technique is correct and the caliper isn't dragging and causing the heat and fading issues.

When was the last time the brake fluid was changed? If it's old that'll also have a negative effect on brake effectiveness.

I've not heard of anyone swapping a more powerful rear caliper onto a B12. Folks that want a stronger back brake are usually happy with upgraded pads and a stainless brake line.

brake fluid as stated, and much better brake pads, I use EBC HH.  also changed to stainless rear hose, oh yea use the front!
