Title: Rear wheel wobble

Ok, I put the 05 B12 on the center stand and put it in first gear.  When I get behind the wheel, I notice the SLIGHTEST wobble in the rear wheel.  Could it just be the tire it's self is not perfectly round?  Or do I need to have something looked at?

You can check the rim by using a ruler on top of your swingarm and turn your wheel to see if it goes in and out or if the rim runs true, then do it the same for thw tire. and see what happens. if this happens and it stills runs out something else is wrong.

It shouldn't be the rim as there are no spokes to true.  However, the rim could be defective or the tire could be out of round.  Are you still under warranty?  If so, take it in.  Besides the above mentioned you could have an improperly installed bearing.

An offset bearing is very unusual but does happen.

I'll try the ruler thing, but I'm not going to worry about it.  Like I said, you can hardly notice it, unless you get right up close to the wheel when it's spinning.  I personaly think the tire is a hair thicker in that area.  I will take it in for them to look at before the warranty runs out in May.

So, have you had to pick it up off the concrete yet..  That scenario doesn't sound like something I'd make a habit out of...

And just in case, please don't lube your chain this way..  if your prefer to keep all 5 digits per hand...

my mate had a very similar problem on his hornet, so we took the wheel off, and replaced the bearings and that sorted it.

just something to think about......
