remove the damping bolt in a k8 n

Does any one know how to remove the bolt or fashion a tool to do so without having to buy the official tool?

Hi Robby

Usually the bolt will come out with an air impact gun, with a 2nd person keeping pressure on the damper rod by pulling on the forks apart. ie: clamp the lower fork leg in a vice (use soft jaws, and only clamp on either a caliper lug or the axle clamp...never on the round slider!), have a buddy pull on the upper leg and use the impact to remove the bolt. I don't have a Bandit anymore, but usually, the bolt is a 8mm Allen, so you usually need an extended Allen socket wrench.

Not sure it that answers your question?
