Title: Repacking my D&D

Well, my D&D is loud as hell and it is time to repack.

I pulled apart the can, here are pic's for those that have never seen inside one.

It appears that there is a melted resin encasing the packing.  So to repack, do I cut all of this crap off, and just reapply a fiberglass blanket to it?

Any ideas?

You got it.  After you wrap it with the new packing just tie it up with some wire or something.
