I'll give this a try when the cold weather comes. I don't have a walk-in freezer. It's a walk-out freezer...

We get some crappy/cold weather for sure and I wouldn't want to ride anyway, so I think pulling the header and putting a little water in it is certainly worth a shot. And actually, where the dents are located, I wouldn't even have to pull the header, just slip off the can and pour in some water. It'll sit right where I need it, i think. Then it's just a matter of getting the water back out... hmmm... I can think of several humorous results there...

Make sure you pick a day when temperatures have already reached freezing. Don't put it out there in sub freezing or it will freeze to slowly. Also you need the dented area to be submerged at least a few inches on both sides and not half or 3/4's filled with water like a canal. This is so that the volume of water as it expands 9% can generate enough pressure. I would be aggressive, pull the header off like its normally done and fill that baby, then stick it out there in the middle of freezing temperatures.

yeah, that's not a problem. I'll just wait for a nice 10 degree day  :penguin: or so and give it a shot.
