Title: Right side running lights
Post by: blubomber on April 02, 2014, 10:12:36 PM
I have recently purchased a 2001 Bandit 600s. After I purchased the bike I noticed that the turn signals on the right (front and back) don't come on with the ignition in the on position. If I turn on the turn signal for a right turn, they flash as they should. I have checked and there is no voltage going to the front and back light. I have looked at a wiring diagram but cant figure out where the issue might be.

Any guidance would be great!

Thanks. Great forum!

I am not sure they are supposed to light
I have a 1200 and they don't light up when the key is on.
I think your issue is that the left side does illuminate when the Key is on
Does the left side turn signals operate normally when you signal to the left.
Oh, and are they all stock indicators

Ahhhhh....that makes sense then. My left side do flash quickly when the turn signal is on. So it sounds like I have a short somewhere. During my troubleshooting, I found that if I remove the left from bulb, the turn indicator light goes on solid. I will focus on that then. Any ideas on where the short might be? I have a wiring diagram so I might be able.to figure it out. Thanks for the reply.

Does the bike have any aftermarket accessories installed That would have been spliced in to the OE harness?
