RC51 rear shock?
« on: December 26, 2006, 07:22:39 AM »
I hear that the rear shock of an RC51 will bolt right up on G2 B12s and keep the stock ride height, unlike the Busa shocks that raise ride height 1 inch.

Can anyone assure me one way or the other? Ive got the complete front end of a Busa mated to my B12, and want to upgrade the rear suspension as well
Someday we'll look back on all this and plow into a parked car.

Check with Pink down in the Mod section, I believe he uses that shock on his custom Bandit.

I spoke with Deepink on this forum and he has the same shock and said its a direct bolt in. An added bonus is that it doesnt change the ride height, unlike the busa shocks. The RC51 unit has plenty of adjustability, so thats the way i decided to go. It came with no mounting hardware, but i suspect i can use most of what i already have and things i dont can be easily found. My project is ongoing until march or so due to funding but when its in ill post it up and let you know.  :) :beers:

Im pretty stoked about it. I've never done anything to a bike other than jet kit/exhaust ect and this weekend my B12 is being torn down to nuts and bolts and being rebuilt from the ground up.  costing a small fortune but should be a hoot to ride when its done
